Monster Hunter Generations does not have levels, but they do have ranks. These determine with quests you can take, which also determines which monsters you can hunt for gear. If you want the best gear, you have to keep raising your HR (Hunter Rank) and take on the strongest monsters.

I copied the Key Quest titles to a text file for easy reference, thought I'd share it here if anyone wants just the bare titles as a quick list. NOTE: The quests listed AFTER the URGENT quest are needed to unlock the key quest in a later tier. 1★ Village Key Quests - Find the Ferns - A Fungal Hunt - Wipe Out! - Another Pack Attack. Must complete all 3★ Village Key Quests to unlock. Unlocks the Lv2 versions of each weapon Hunter Art that is unlocked from the beginning. Adds Malfest Roast to the ingredients list. Adds the Rife Roast to the Bistro. (Option to cook meat and fish at the Bistro). Master Rank Assignments are story Quests in Monster Hunter World Iceborne (MHW). Master Rank Assignments are only available to players who own the Iceborne Expansion.Players will need to complete these quest to progress the story and increase their Master Rank (MR3). All assignments have a 50 minutes time limit and the 'Faint 3 times' failure conditions. The the good news is you only need to do certain Required Quests to unlock the next rank. The bad news is the game does not tell you which ones you need. The great news is I will let you know everything in this guide!

How to Raise Hunter Rank

• You must complete specific HR quests at the Hunters Hub to unlock an Urgent Quest.
• When you complete the Urgent Quest, you move up to the rank I have listed next to it.
